Be responsible for handling specific VNM’s tax affairs (excluding Personal Income Tax) and support VP Tax Compliance to liaise with ASP tax and/or GHQ tax where appropriate, deal with regulators such as local tax authorities, external auditors, seek advice from external consultants.
Impact on the Business:

In this role, you will:

• Assist in the development of the annual audit plan for the assigned area
• Assess adequacy of risk controls and identify material risks and weaknesses in controls identifying business process improvements for segments audited as appropriate
• Responsible for the grading of audit findings, identify the root causes and provide an assessment of the overall control risk and management awareness within the auditee business
• Complete the quarterly Continuous Monitoring (CM) and annual Audit Entity Refresh
• Provide independent, objective and timely assurance to management Committees over the adequacy of the internal control framework, the adequacy of the governance over the control framework and the ongoing effectiveness in the maintenance of the controls.
• Ensure that a robust primary and secondary control environment are in place and maintained within HBVN.
• Maintaining a good working relationship with key parties
• Demonstrate leadership skill in staff management and provide motivation to staff to learn new skills
• Encourage sharing of experience among team members
• Keep abreast of best practice and latest standards on audit and internal control
• To complete the audit cycle with effective utilization of resources
