Brief description of job:
1. Be accountable for the enhancement and growth of international and institutional engagement in order to achieve student recruitment targets
2. Ongoing, proactive review and evaluation of existing activities contributing to delivery of a mutually beneficial strategy
3. A strong understanding of stakeholder needs (student, alumni, academic and administrative units) and how this relates to University of Canberra Global Student Recruitment objective, student engagement and student success programs, and their impact on the wider university, in order to drive effective relationships
4. Develop strong relationships with internal and external partners, with strong lines of communication and engagement
5. Provide outstanding standards of service and partnership with all stakeholders across University of Canberra faculty and division, including prospective and continuing international students, alumni, fellow staff members and external representatives.
6. Maintain a thorought knowledge of relevant standards, legislation and political frameworks (both Australia and that of Emerging Markets)
7. Business travel among the South East Asia regions is required
Full Job Description
1. Under direction from the Business Development Manager (South East Asia):
2. Provide support and advice to prospective students seeking to study at University of Canberra;
3. Provide application and acceptance support to prospective students looking undertake studies at University of Canberra;
4. Collaborate with, and attend student recruitment exhibitions conducted by, the University, its agents, institutional partners, schools, and other channel partners across various locations in South East Asia in relation to prospective student facing activities;
5. Enhance student attraction, conversion and retention; and expand and enhance student experience and success initiatives (contributing to University of Canberra’s value proposition)
6. Provide support through training sessions and advice to University of Canberra’s appointed agents, institutional partners and other channel partners;
7. Promote the University of Canberra effectively to expand the University’s presence across South East Asia;
8. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide necessary support to result in quality conversions [30%+ conversion rate for application to acceptance];
9. Provide feedback on market conditions which may impact University of Canberra’s ability to operate effectively to recruit students from South East Asia;
10. All services to be provided in a manner which complies with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act and any other relevant Australian laws;
11. Willingness and ability to undertake work from locations as advised by the University when located at the home station;
12. Any KPIs should be expressly included in the Agreement to ensure compliance. Further, stating that the KPIs must align with UC’s recruitment objectives indicates the Contractor/Consultant is conducting recruitment-type services.

Yêu cầu công việc

1. 3+ years’ experience in increasingly responsible roles related to Education or international education
2. Clear, proven understanding of the international education market including thorough knowledge of university policies and external environment
3. A thorough understanding of the educational value of a diverse and inclusive community
4. Experience representing a known institution will be a plus
5. Bachelor’s degree with good to strong academic performance
6. Strong English fluency, Proficient in business writing. Able to discuss strategy and analysis with English speakers
7. Study or experience abroad strongly preferred. Study or experience in Australia even better.
8. Voluntary or other life experience that demonstrates creativity, hard work, persistence or drive to succeed.
9. Highly-developed problem-solving skills, the ability to work individually on tasks and collaboratively in a team environment, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with key internal and external stakeholders
10. Highly-developed organisation skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex tasks with competing deadlines
11. Strong people-connection and communication skills, the ability to extend the constructive business connection with the prospective clients and stakeholders.
