Report to: Director/Senior Manager Product Development
Primary Purpose:
You will own and drive all Product Development work with dedicated team, from development input of New York Design and Product Development teams, sample process management to approved PA status for production.
Partner with cross functional teams to create synergies, maintain high quality product and meet the corporate timeline throuhout the early development to commercialisation process.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to...
• Coaches and develops talents, be an example to create high performing team.Establish development goals and actions plan. Throuhout team meeting track progess on performances and communicate upwards to PD Lead.
• Manage the day to day projects development process of your team based on priorities set up by the PD Lead and aligned on strategy.
• Manage the communication into the team on changes related to Design updates, standarts, and overall consistency of information.
• Drive the partnership with engineering to use as a tool in order to increase the knowledge of PD team.
• Anticipate and drives issue resolution to insure the consistency and the integrity of products.
• Build strong partnership with SPs, effective relationship with Raw Material and Production teams.
• Drive innovations by elevating to PD Lead new techniques and ideas identified with the team during SPs or 3 parties visits.
• Be the central contact person for SPs for question of development, co-ordinate smooth transmission of information to other teams and allow cross functional works effectiveness.
• Manage and maintain information required for tools which need to be used by cross function teams.
• Drive costing to meet/exceed margin requirements.
• Weekly visit to SPS during peak of development to follow development steps. Travels as needed.

The accomplished individual will possess...
• Degree holder with at least 8 year experience
• Experienced in product development and knowledge of bag, wallet and accessories development and/or production or related product.
• Familiar with leather, fabrics, printing and embroidery techniques
• History with an internationally operating brand strongly preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing experience will also be considered
• Good sourcing connection in region
• Organized and detail focused, good interpersonal and written communication skills in written and oral Vietnamese and English.
• Quick and decisive and problem solving ability with a good feel for situation appropriate solutions.
• Able to work in a fast moving, international environment with collaborative teams. Willing to frequently travel.
• A good eye for style and understanding of product aesthetics.
• Good computer skills is a must, (excel, words and power points)
