PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF ROLE
The work of the Marketing Content Editor is responsible for writing marketing copy and content as part of the Marketing team. This position will work closely with Director of Creative & Marketing and Marketing Communications Executive to produce a clear, consistent voice for marketing materials and initiatives.
The Marketing Content Editor will create fresh content for all visual elements that support Trails of Indochina’s marketing, advertising, promotion, event and campaign initiatives. The Marketing Content Writer will initiate and oversee all marketing content, both internal and external, across multiple channels to engage and drive positive customer behavior.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Content Writing
• Write clear, concise, persuasive and grammatically correct copy as needed on a wide range of projects including but not limited to: web and email copy, blog posts, brochures and other collateral, advertising copy and headlines, newsletters, trade show materials, brand documents, B2B and B2C advertising copy, email marketing, press releases, brand positioning, event collateral, etc.
• Develop concepts and participate in brainstorming sessions for new ideas
• Generate naming ideas for projects, events, season’s campaigns, services, etc., as needed per brand marketing direction.
• Leveraging market & destination knowledge to develop content themes/topics and execute a plan to develop the assets that supports a point of view and educates customers
• Proofreading and editing of general brand documentation, as necessary
• Proofreading and editing training presentations and PowerPoint
• Write posts for social media channels for promotion of product and partners
• Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, point of sale, video, print, etc.
Content Writing – Product (Supporting)
• Responsible for Tourplan content including writing, researching and/or editing product descriptions, destination information, cruise information or other content and/or documentation as needed
Additional Responsibilities
• Proofread materials before publication
• Develop content for marketing collaterals
• Assist the marketing team with administrative and marketing-related matters
• Turnaround quality work in a fast paced environment
• Regular reporting with Director of Creative & Marketing
• Other tasks as assigned by Director of Creative & Marketing and Product Departmental projects
Continuous Development
• Attend regular training courses / seminars to keep up to date with the travel and marketing industry
