 A chief mechanical engineer is the head engineer who excels in the field of mechanical engineering. The role involves leading technicians and engineers in handling various mechanical projects.
 Design mechanical engineering. Provide proper engineering drawings and documentation of company’s products:
 Reviewing Technical Queries from the clients in depth using sound engineering practices etc, and responding with solutions. Design Modifications and drawings breakdowns, checked and if acceptable, forwarded to customer for approval.
 Training, Mentoring to improve the technical skill , professional working ethic to all staff in technical dpt.,
 Cost estimating and development of products. Working with other client engineers re designs.
 Research and develop concepts for new products, production processes and manufacturing systems;
 Modify existing products and systems to improve performance and efficiency.
 To review the feasibility of new product development / new projects with production and management.
 Provide technical leadership and guidance for the products and processes. Transfer of engineering concepts to production staff.
 Transfer of agreed breakdown concepts, production methods etc to drawing office for detailing & production staff for implementation.
 Assisting production staff with engineering solutions. Engineering input / thoughts on general issues such as life of machine tools / consumables / engineering practices etc.
 Assisting QA in the investigation and resolution of quality issues and responding to customer’s quality issues when relevant & required from an engineering perspective.

The responsibility of the PM is to manage all the functions of the production of the Company under the direct supervision of the GM to ensure continuous improvements in reliability, right cost, speed and operation efficiencies.
 To manage the production teams and ensure that company goals are achieved in terms of reliability, quality, inventory control, productivity and cost.
 To develop and manage an effective plan of overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule, making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality. PM structure supporting APM and the Team Leaders at all times and answerable directly to GM.
 To develop and implement best work practices and major improvements to processes/systems of manufacturing. Working out the human and material resources needed, drafting a timescale for the job, estimating costs and setting the quality standards. Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
 To lead cost reduction initiatives and strive for operation excellence, ensuring that the production is cost effective.
 To exploit new technologies where appropriate to achieve cost saving and competitive advantage. Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment.
 Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs
 Develop methods to better utilize the firms human resources, production to most efficiently meet the Company’s expectations. A production manager is involved in both the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage.
 To establish a culture and team spirit among the whole team, supervising and motivating a team of workers
 To provide coaching and training for all manufacturing supervisors.
 In conjunction with the GM oversee and maintain good dialogue with the QA/QC personnel. Meeting product standards and implementing quality-control program.
 Developing reporting procedures and systems
 To work closely with all departments to implement the production policies and goals of the Company.
 Be aware of and implement Company policies and procedures, ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
 Perform any other duties within the bounds of Company policies that are requested by the GM.

 Manage all the records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as leave records, hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
 Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review & safety (HSE).
 Develop and maintain effective internal & external communication methods.
 Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
 Administer effective delegation in all departments.
 Conducts wage surveys within labour market to determine competitive wage rate.
 Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
 Work with FC to establish clear and accountable guidelines (SOP) and authority levels so as to enable direct and efficient decisions to be made.
