Country Sales Function
Develop costing models targeting new Business Development and Import Express customers to ensure competitive and profitable pricing of new business segments.
Produce reports and analysis for the use of Sales teams.
Provide effective advisory support to country sales in contract migration and prepared global RFQ
Develop and manage contract migration process, discount policy & approval authority
Guide and assist sales to formulate pricing strategies during negotiations with Strategic/Key Customers and to address large Loss Makers impacting Country Performance
Help Sales Training Manager develop a training pack and roll out the same during SPI
Regional Office – Sales Function:
Develop and formulate country pricing strategies, structure and methodology to harmonize with regional standards
Develop and manage pricing research
Provide country pricing advice on regionally negotiated contracts of GMNC customers
Verify regional/global customer contracts for billing accuracy and profitability impact
Provide performance monitoring for this group of customers regularly
Regional Commercial Team:
Interface with country management and regional management on all pricing issues
Fulfill regional reporting requirements on strategic initiatives
Be the country lead person in implementing all AP pricing initiatives and policies
Customer Service/ Finance/Operations
Ensure timely sharing of pricing related information for accurate billing and price quotes
Provide communication to all line managers on new pricing initiatives or policies
Participate or lead in required regional/country projects
Interface to ensure consistent implementation of AP pricing policies
Support in evaluating business decisions with major EBITA implications and in achieving
Mailroom and local distribution service providers
Maintain excellent working relationship with contractor
Regular monitoring of supplier performance through sales and customer feedback
Country Management, Marketing
and Sales Functions
Provide timely and accurate analysis of DHL’s door to door profit, cost and price positions in order to ensure senior management is fully informed and to assist in the business planning process.
Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to grow the business.
Produce reports and analysis for the use of the Marketing teams.
Assist finance in building Network Cost model
Build competitive market position reports vis-à-vis competition across all sales channels
Study and analyses competition pricing strategy and provide insights to senior management to assist in strategic country pricing decisions
Collaborate with them to conduct research on pricing, seek any opportunity for margin improvement and support campaign
Develop draft pricing policy, establishing contract rates dependant on cost to service, market conditions, business size and opportunity in order to ensure the company meets its revenue and profitability targets.
Develop pricing structures for new products developed to ensure that they meet the company’s commercial and profitability objectives.
Develop and effective monitoring mechanism to ensure country revenue yield performance target
Implementation and Follow up of Procedures
Review the cost model data and construction to ensure its accuracy and to identify the nature of errors and obtain buy in from regional office to receive timely correction
Maintain the cost model and analyse the output of the monthly MMS/ Soprano reports profiling business by key drivers and segments to enable the identification of trends in the business.
Cost modeling and reporting
Ensure key business indicators ready for management reporting and decision making
Prepare costing models
Analyze the output of the monthly MMS/Soprano reports
Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.
Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective functional department.
Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.

Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.
