Position summary
The customer Engineering Operation Team (known as CE Ops) presently consists of 5 major areas that needs to be focused on which is San Diego based sub-teams each with critical operational duties that impact product delivery, program development & execution, and Engineering operation. The five areas of focus duties are;
1) Document Coordination
2) Systems Management & Customer Care
3) Organizational Development & Training
4) Oracle & Project Management
5) Resources Management as Budget management (Opex/Capex/FTE & CWF HC management)
Newly added to this organization is a CE Operations team based in Hanoi, Vietnam whose charter is to support Operations in Vietnam within a similar framework as the San Diego and all other regional CE Ops team.
This role also will also cover some of administrative works to support up to 30 engineers of located in Vietnam.
Job Duties
The Vietnam CE Ops is expected to undertake the under of duties that fall traditionally within the framework of the CE Operations team in Korea/Japan & San Diego. Their scope however will stay focused on Operations and customers within Vietnam only.
1) Document Coordination
The Vietnam Ops team will work with the DCT team in San Diego to ensure that all documentation, software requests, and any types of digital downloads are met with speed, accuracy, and fall in line with Legal and Export Compliance rules and regulations.
2) Systems Management & Customer Care
The team in Vietnam will focus on reporting metrics, SR case flow, and Customer needs by the utilization of our primary business application systems such as Oracle, SRT, Agile. Documentation, etc., in order to ensure that there is a smooth flow between communication customer needs to our internal Engineering staff.
3) Organizational Development & Training
The Vietnam Ops team will work with the ODT team in San Diego to meet the organizational development of our internal personnel as well as training needs of both our internal personnel and external customers. The team in Vietnam is expected to now deliver training sessions to our Customers in Vietnam to ensure that their Engineers understand how to properly use our externally facing customer solutions.
4) Oracle & Project Management
The team in Vietnam will focus on usage, trouble shooting, and training of the Oracle environment which is critical for our internal and external (Customer) CRM needs. The team will work closely with SD & Regional Team for ensuring that the needs of the Vietnam sites are accurately reflected as well as ensure that training needs for our largest customers (Samsung Vietnam, Bkav) are met.
5) Resource Management
The Vietnam Ops team will work on Resource Management in Engineering Operation, Forecasting/Executing Operating Expenses/Capital Test equipment Purchasing/Internal Test Equipment (CDP/MTP) order Managements/HC Resources, Involves with Finance/ SD Operation On approval process, System engagements for the purchasing needs.
6) Administrative works (Up to 10% of him/her bandwidth)
New employee on-boarding, Goods shipping coordination, Coordinating team dinner and other team events, Ordering stationaries/biz cards/miscellaneous, fixed asset physical counting and reconciliation, and supporting engineers for business trip arrangements & expense report input.
