This position will be responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements for multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The business analyst will act as a subject matter expert, generate and capture requirements, track and resolve project issues, track project financials and create and manage user stories.
1.Gathers, generates, and documents detailed requirements through interviewing and facilitation
2.Translate business and functional requirements and specifications into technical requirements. Youll also collaborate between business stakeholders and technical staff to define business requirements. Preparing requirement and specification documentation.
3.Translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
4.Converting requirements into various types of models or diagrams using the BABOK techniques (process mapping, decision tables, value streams and data flows).
5.Working with product and usability specialists in developing user interface designs.
6.Analysing current and requested system functionality to identify risks and gaps; providing alternative solutions and making recommendations.
7.Reviewing business rules, user stories and use cases to determine the size, complexity and dependencies of changes.
8.Analysing system data inputs and outputs using Microsoft SQL to advise with troubleshooting system anomalies.
9.Analysing current and future states by mapping sequential flow of work.
10.Providing root cause analysis for system malfunctions and failures.
11.Tests (Positive, Regression, Negative Impact, and No Harm) all new or enhanced software activations
12.Tracks progress and provides project status reports for multiple simultaneous projects according to the information needs of the stakeholders including, at times, executive level staff.
13.Interacts, as necessary, with management to help set project direction, determine project priorities, and actively support Continuous Improvement initiatives
14.Ensures the project team is kept well informed of project changes
15.Assists with the creation of project schedules and budgets
16.Serves as a lead Business Analyst on projects
17.Designs system level components.
18.Assists with training of business operations office staff on use of system, business processes, and procedures.
Yêu cầu công việc
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
•5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
•5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
•Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, Access).
•Experience gathering and documenting complex system requirements, writing technical specifications, developing detailed system diagrams, and authoring meeting minutes.
•Experience in analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering and user story development.
•Experience delivering in-house and externally-developed applications.
•Understanding of failover, disaster recovery and mirroring concepts and experience delivering mission-critical applications in a high-availability environment.
•Understand basic Project Management principles and Quality Assurance testing.
•Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
•Strong analytical, estimating, and problem solving skills.
•Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups.
•Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
