This position is based in our Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh, in District 7, Mapletree Business City for our Consumer Retail Services (CRS) Business Unit. This position leads our CRS team that has a sizeable number of employees, consisting of Auditors, Inspectors and Administrative personnel.
UL Verification Services inspection & audit services provide customized supplier audit and product inspection support based on buyers pre-defined parameters or customer-accepted specifications. These inspections and audits provide retailers / buyers and OEMs confidence on the quality of the suppliers that they work with as well as the reliability of the products that they source from these suppliers.
We are looking for a people manager who has the ambition to grow with our business in Vietnam, deliver results and improvements from the current business landscape, and eventually even lead a regional team with UL ASEAN.
Coordination and Supervision - Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of the staff in
the region. Delegate tasks and accountabilities. Establish work schedules. Monitor and
evaluate performance.
Financial & Cost Management - Develop and submit monthly key performance indicators related to audit travel cost, labor cost, utilization rate, profitability, etc. Utilize this data to improve overall performance and profitability of the region. Assist in developing local pricing schemes for local business consistent with global schemes. Prepare and control operational budgets.
Human Resources - Work with the regional human resources management to hire, on-board and develop field staff and administrative staff. Conduct performance reviews, salary adjustments, and personnel development in accordance with UL requirements. Be responsible for executing any disciplinary action as needed. Implement UL Performance Management requirements for staff under him/her.
Regional Performance - Coordinate and monitor the work of the operations staff. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure quality of deliverables. Provide technical support where necessary.
Training - Ensure staff receives necessary training and assistance to complete their responsibilities. Work with training supervisors to implement internal training and monitor the progress of audit staff. Work with the global training manager to provide support and guidance to the regional training supervisors. In some regions, where training supervisors are not in place, the operations manager will fulfill the training responsibilities for the audit staff.
Communication - Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR, Accounts and Finance. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions. Conduct monthly operations meeting with the staff. Attend other meetings (on-line calls, etc) as required.
Quality Systems Management - Implement and communicate all quality system measures and programs as established by the quality system manager. Communicate regularly with the Quality Systems Manager and other regional/global support teams to discuss improvement measure for the region. Benchmark effective operational practices and share effective practices with other Responsible Sourcing locations.
Client Relationship - Responsible for assisting client facing teams in providing actionable information for generating client leads, market research, and new business development as required. Stay current and up to date in terms of market developments or trends that would affect the regional business and overall global business. Attend industry events to increase visibility of company services as required. Attend regional client meetings and/or accompany clients to local engagements (factory visits, audits, etc.).
Strategic Input - Liaison with top management and assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans.

This position is based in our Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh, in District 2, for our Wire & Cable (W&C) team.
This position sells UL’s W&C testing and certification services to customers in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
•Develop robust opportunity pipeline and lead to sales closure, to achieve annual sales targets.
•Build strong customer partnership and intimacy with all key accounts, and be highly regarded as their preferred solution provider to win major wallet share.
•Engage accounts’ key stakeholders in the buying process – key decision makers and influencers – to identify their priorities, sell with strong value proposition and close sales orders.
•Establishing strong collaborations with all relevant statutory boards and associations, to escalate UL brand and services awareness among all key market players.
•May expand with added responsibility of Inside Sales role, based on future business requirement.

This position will be based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, in our office in District 7.
Responsibilities
•Project management with assigned clients and handle related activities
•Be a middleman between clients and inspectors, making sure the inspectors well understand the inspection criteria and ensure inspector will strictly follow the client requirement accordingly
•Coordinate with factories for inspection schedule
•Confirming the inspection schedule with both clients and supplier or factory
•Pass the booking form and relevant data for TC team for scheduling system input
•Quote to clients and input the cost in invoicing system
•Check with client for inspection specification and send to inspector in advance and coordinate with inspectors to solve any inspection relative issue
•For technical issue, consult technical expert for advice and then forward the messages to the related inspectors and make sure the inspectors well understand the message
•Translate the inspection criteria and requirement documents for inspection purpose, if necessary
•Review inspection reports and release to relevant parties. Answer any inquires following if any from clients
•Prepare weekly/monthly summary as requested by client
•Prepare the monthly bill to client for payment collection
•File and update all necessary inspection document per requested in daily basic
•Handle client’s complaints independently or pass to relevant team to solve the complaint per the procedure.

This position is based in our Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh.
You will be responsible for the portfolio of our UL Environment business units to work closely with the appropriate Field Sales Representative to achieve the big picture goal of hitting the sales target. Your will be responsible for inbound requests usually over the phone or email, follow up with after sales administrative duties like invoicing, booking of orders and handling customer enquiries and feedback. You will also review inbound inquiries or sales leads and route them to the appropriate sales teams.
•Create and send out quotations for specified categories of leads using standardized pricing tools, and booking orders.
•Performs follow-up of sent quotes and turns them into orders while meeting financial commitments.
•Administering accurate data entry of sales contracts into databases in order for the engineering and laboratory teams to effectively allocate resources to each projects.
•Telemarketing and proactively striking a good rapport with customers over the phone in order to discover other areas of services that they might potentially need
•Communicates with customers to assist in the completion of requests.
•Performs other duties as directed.

Under minimal supervision, the Senior Sales Executive is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts.
•Identifies and pursues prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling, on key industry players and referral program.
•Develop robust opportunity pipeline and lead to sales closure, to achieve annual sales targets.
•Meets with prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process criteria, and their needs.
•Develops sales presentations for potential new clients. Leads the sales presentations in support of growing the clientele for ULs services.
•Responsible for meeting with and presenting to the highest profile/potential clients.
•Provides value propositions, handles objections, prepares quotes, and closes sales by getting prospects’ commitments.
•Build strong customer partnership and intimacy with all key accounts, and be highly regarded as their preferred solution provider to win major wallet share.
•Engage accounts’ key stakeholders in the buying process – key decision makers and influencers – to identify their priorities, sell with strong value proposition and close sales orders.
•Establishing strong collaborations with all relevant statutory boards and associations, to escalate UL brand and services awareness among all key market players.
•Retains existing customers that are not managed by account management teams.
•Coaches and mentors lower level staff on effective direct sales skills and sales processes.
•Supports junior staff in the identification and evaluation of important customer information.
