- The ERP Business Analyst implements and supports all operational aspects of the DBSi (*) - SAP ERP system in addition to other enterprise business applications and interfaces to ERP system.
- Provides technical and functional support in the areas of: ERP functionalities (Parts, Services, EMS, and Finance), problem resolution, support, process mapping, system testing and development, security access, and training
- Provides end-user support in the development of ad-hoc queries and reports
1. Troubleshoot application software (ERP) and data problems on a timely basis. Receive user calls related to ERP support and resolves issues.
2. Provides functional application support for all ERP and other applications in a production environment and during enhancement and upgrade projects as assigned.
3. Maintain liaison with business units, technical staff and extended support organizations for resolution of ERP and data problems.
4. Assist end-user development of ad-hoc queries and reports of ERP data in a Microsoft SQL database using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services and ABAP - SAP, and/or other reporting tools.
5. Work with end-users to analyze, gather requirements, design, construct and implement applications and interfaces in support of regular business operations.
6. Documents as-is/to-be business processes, configuration scripts, and other associated functional specifications from end user requirements.
7. Ensure that external/internal regulations and policies governing data management and change management are met, including regulations concerning security, audit controls and privacy.
8. Document applications and provide cross-functional training as needed.
9. Defines and creates test plans, test scripts and test procedures based on requirements.
10. Coordinates testing with users and technical staff and verifies data integrity, documents and analyzes test results recommending corrective actions, if required.
11. Documents change request business cases (i.e. define the problem, pros, cons, suggestions, cost/benefit analysis; recommendations).
12. Participates in Change Request process to approve, document, test and certify all changes to the ERP system.
