* Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
* Basic Job Functions:
Provides front line strategic human resource partnership as a senior level HR Business Partner for the Dong Nam manufacturing site, ensuring all Human Resources functions and activities run effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with all applicable Vietnamese labour law and First Solar’s Core Values and Behaviours. Capable of successfully leading complex HR initiatives and analysis and special projects as assigned and provide work direction and guidance to lower-level HR team members. HR approval level granted for Manager-level employees and below.
* Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Manages recruitment activities to ensure that best-fit talent is identified for open roles with a hiring methodology that is sensible and process-adherent, includes:
- Work with management and internal HR to identify and requisition appropriate headcount authorization
- Coach manager through new/changed role development and facilitate internal HR/compensation processes
- Lead/oversee talent source & search efforts and ensure a robust interview and selection process occurs to produce best-fit final candidate identification
- Working within established processes and parameters, development of internally and externally balanced employment offer and coordination/production of jurisdiction-appropriate employment contract documents
• Manages all onboarding and orientation activities for assigned organisation, ensuring a successful company introduction to new hires as well as follow-on soft-skill training efforts; activities to include:
- Direct facilitation of new hire documents and first-day support activities with pending hire, HRIS/Payroll, and local country administrative support
- Conducting of the orientation sessions and/or overseeing successful delivery of content by lower-level HR team members, to include follow-on activities including SOX policies acknowledgement and post-orientation communications
- On ongoing basis, participate in local development and delivery of soft-skill training content
• Actively partner with department leaders throughout the assigned organization to provide a one stop shop of HR support for current employment matters, including:
- Coaching managers on broad variety of employee activities to bring them to successful outcomes
- Develop and deliver value-add recommendations to the business on moderate to complex matters based on all applicable information sources to include employment law, best practice, and independent analysis
- Conducting and documenting investigation activities and managing assigned level of employee relations activity such as employee complaints, supervisor/manager concerns regarding practice or policy application, and performance improvement/management matters
- Aiding management of assigned population to make effective determinations regarding organizational alignment and headcount management, promotions, demotions, terminations & separations, etc.
- Ensure HR strategic partnership alignment by attending customer group meetings and building key managerial relationships to achieve a working understanding of the business model, goals, and strategy
• Recommend improvements to, implement, deliver, and ensure the adherence to, HR processes, policies, frameworks, reports/documentation, requirements, and systems, to include activities like:
- Preparation and delivery of analysis/costing
- Development and execution of business proposals, reports, datasets
- Scripting of process and programme framework in partnership with applicable COEs
- Communication rollout within HR group and to managers and employees to include appropriate level of self-service guidance and promotion
- Audit and regular loopback to ensure policies are understood and lived by managers and employees and full compliance at all times with applicable regulations

* Experience:
• At least 5 years progressive experience in Plant/Manufacturing Site Human Resources, required with Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong knowledge of the Labor Code and all relevant Vietnamese employment regulations, laws, and typical worker practices relevant to manufacturing environment required
• MNCs experience, preferred
• Advanced manufacturing environment experience, preferred
* Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, with major in Human Resources, Business, or relevant discipline preferred
* Required Skills:
• Business speaking and written fluency Vietnamese; English highly preferred
• Strong strategic HR partner competency to build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive collaborative and cooperative efforts; ability to effectively influence without authority.
• Advanced employee relations / labor relations experience, as well as interpersonal and conflict management skills.
• Demonstrated project management capability to deliver complex program implementations.
• Effective people management capability in terms of development, coaching, delegation, and leadership competencies.
• Deft ability to self-prioritize workload and effectively pivot in a fast-paced dynamic environment to drive effective results.
• System-savvy with hands-on mentality and global HRMS familiarity; Office suite proficiency required and Workday HRMS preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical and presentation capabilities: data-driven, able to assess and articulate risks quickly, accurately, and effectively.
• Ability to effectively work with all levels and diversity of organizations and associates throughout the company.
