Primary Role
The IT Manager (ITM) will review, approve, and manage systems and data centers service plans and installations to ensure customer business needs are met. The ITM must ensure standards-based compliance for testing, turn-up, and maintenance of servers, storage and system infrastructure. Also, ITM will lead a team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure the reliability and availability of these systems. Furthermore, ITM will provide support and is involved in monitoring aspects of system architecture, planning, implementation, creation of operational procedures, security audits, performance monitoring, and reporting. ITM directs system activities such as planning, installation, operation, maintenance, utilization, and control of all servers, storage and system infrastructure and/or computer resources.
Working Relationships
- Directly report to Line Manager/supervisor and others if need;
- Work across in different teams in different locations if need;
- Work with clients and/or counterparts if have.
Professional Responsibilities
Technology: Understands server, storage and system infrastructure technology. Leverages knowledge to inform day-to-day operations and manages disaster recovery planning, fault recovery systems, and crisis logistics planning. Directs use of new technologies and develops future direction.
People: Provides leadership, technical direction, and resource management to network area. Works on a day-to-day basis with both the network and system operations teams. Maintains relationships and serves as technical liaison with vendors to ensure that systems developmental needs are met. Coordinates with departments to optimize system development and problem resolution affecting cross-platform applications and system operations.
Customer: Acts as an advisor to resolve technical or operational issues. Ensures the integrity and reliability of the systems. Provides counsel with respect to cost and schedule for technology solutions. Defines needed methodologies to ensure compatibility of all software and hardware products at customer facilities.
Third-party Vendor: Liaise with third party vendors for delivery, installation and maintenance of hardware. Escort repair technician onto site, as required, with the appropriate authorization to perform this task. Ensure repair technician has completed relevant site/visitor induction.
Business: Develops policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operations of systems and assigned personnel. Oversees documentation procedures to ensure adherence to existing standards and processes. Oversees performing the technical analysis of complex software, hardware, and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient system operations.
Financial: Formulates budgets, capital justifications, coordination and management of software releases and upgrades to the production systems, and policies and standards. Ensures issues have been resolved as appropriate and in accordance with established service level agreements.
Typical Outputs and Deliverables: System Policies/Procedures/Standards, Service Performance Metrics, Management Reports, Budgets, Defect and Root Cause Analyses.

Professional Requirements
• At least 05 years of IT experience in managing a complex data center infrastructure is a must;
• Good understanding of operating systems, storage technologies and solutions, data center technologies, etc.
• Management skills, organizational skill, understanding of SLAs and ability to coordinate and work with geographically separate sites
• Having good communication skills in English is required;
• Being a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills is needed;
Education/Training
• Bachelors degree
• Masters is a plus
• Certificates in related areas of network, security management are preferred.
