* Summary
- The Telesales Representative is responsible for retaining and growing customer business using telephone. He/She uses available resources to learn the customers’ business and identify business needs, and then proactively contacts customers to position UPS products and services to meet those needs. He/She is responsible for prioritizing customer opportunities and focusing attention on accounts with the greatest opportunity and likelihood of success. He/She answers customer questions as required to support customer business and resolves billing issues as needed.
* Responsibilities
- Use Sales Tool for Customer Research and Sales Strategy Development
- Identifies and Addresses Customers’ Business Needs: contacting customers via telephone communication by using questioning techniques to learn about customer business, shipping or other UPS service needs
- Manages Accounts and Resolving Customer Issues: responding to customer questions, complaints, inquiries in a timely, accurate manner; resolving customer claims and damages
- Coordinates with Other UPS Sales Functions
- Stay Current with UPS and Competitor Products and Services
- Ensures Contractual Compliance/Securing New Contracts
- Understanding competitor strategies, capabilities and pricing patterns in order to position UPS products advantageously
- Completing administrative tasks in a timely, accurate manner
