Bread for the World – Protestant Development Service (BftW-PDS) is a German non-government organization. As an ecclesial organization BftW-PBS works the globe to contribute to an inclusive socio-economic development to overcome poverty. The key guiding principles are social justice and ecological responsibility. The regional office (VEST) for Laos and Vietnam in Hanoi is cooperating with local and international partner organization since 1996.

If your application is successful you will work as part of our team from our regional office in Hanoi and support our partners in Vietnam and Laos in the development of projects and programmes complying with international standards in the area of: • Sustainable agricultural and economic development focusing on poverty reduction and value chains • Social infrastructures • Climate change and renewable energies Your main tasks are to • Strengthen partners’ capacities throughout the project cycle • Support partners in developing impact oriented projects and programmes and enhancing their monitoring and evaluation systems • Assess, finalize and submit project proposals, including detailed budgets presented by the partners ready for approvability to the authorizing committees • Assess, prepare and conduct all required reporting, including administrative and financial documents for: o Partners’ budget requests and fund transfers from the BftW Head Office o Progress reports o Audit reports o Project closures • Prospect new partner organizations and future areas of cooperation • Actively participate in at least one working group of the Vietnamese and Lao NGO Resource Centers and other networks • Frequent travel to partner organizations and their projects in Vietnam and Laos and the Head Office in Germany • Support the Regional Representative in all diverse areas upon request You execute your tasks under the supervision of the Regional Representative and in cooperation with the team members and partners in Vietnam and Laos, considering the professional and job-specific objectives, the legal and operational framework and the corporate guidelines.
