The Lazada Business Risk & Security organisation is responsible for protecting the eCommerce activities of over 560 million consumers, more than 155,000 sellers (merchants), and the 3,000 brands on Lazada’s growing ecosystem. We are increasing our investment in business security and significantly expanding our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and shape the future of a strategic group within Lazada.
Our Business Security Operations team is responsible for protecting our buyers and ensuring the integrity of their transactions. You will oversee the approvals, audits, investigations, and escalations of buyer registrations, orders, and return/refunds while preventing abuse of resellers (scalpers) and vouchers/promotions. You will monitor and investigate matters related to account take-overs and other infringements to buyer experiences.
The Business Security Operations team is also responsible for ensuring sellers – and the products they sell – meet all standards for regulations and respect intellectual property rights. You will oversee the approvals, audits, investigations, and escalations of seller registrations and product listings. For intellectual property right holders, you will support the registration of claims for patents, copyright, and trademarks and will oversee the process for complaints and proactive detection. With sellers, you will support quick onboarding while ensuring adherence to know-your-customer, anti-money laundering, and general risk policies, as well has handle detection and claims – including disputes – related to fraud, prohibited and controlled product, and intellectual property right infringements (counterfeit).
Reporting to the Head or a Lead of Business Security Operations, you will be responsible for:
• Being the in-country, subject matter expert for buyer-related risks, with emphasis on account registration, account-take-overs, voucher abuse, reseller abuse, fake/fraud/high-risk orders, and returns/refunds.
• Being the in-country subject matter expert for seller and product-related business risks, with emphasis on counterfeit, scam products, and prohibited and controlled goods.
• Supporting the registration, claims, complaints, and disputes for intellectual property right holders.
• Oversight and execution of buyer, seller, and product risk screening processes while ensuring support of established service levels.
• Developing and executing operational policies and processes for business security operations and dispute management.
• Handling escalations and conducting investigations for incidents.
• Conducting analysis, reporting on performance, and identifying trends.
• Anticipating and escalating issues quickly and efficiently, as necessary to allow proper corrective action/decision.
• Working closely with other functions such as Customer Care (Customer Support, Partner Support, Business Process Outsourcing), e-Commerce Platform (Platform Health, Seller Services, etc.), Commercial (brands), Logistics, Security and Business Security teams, and others to identify and assess risks.
• Conducting product training and communicating changes to stakeholders.
• Executing communications and stakeholder engagement with C-level leadership across ventures and with regional teams.
