ERM VIETNAM:
ERM has worked in Vietnam since 1993 and, in order to meet the growing needs throughout the region, opened an office in Ha Noi in 1998. In 2002 we relocated to Ho Chi Minh City.
Our team includes both local and international consultants with the technical expertise and detailed local knowledge required to address the particular needs of the region and conduct environmental, health, safety, risk, social and sustainability projects across Vietnam.
We work for major multinational investors in the oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, power and energy sectors, international development banks and financial intermediaries.
ERM PRACTICE:
ERM has experienced strong growth both globally and in the Asia Pacific region over the past five years and is now in a position to leverage that growth to strengthen and diversify the company’s service delivery in the field of Performance & Assurance (P&A) and Transaction Services (TS). The company’s P&A and TS Practices cover the following service lines:
• Legal register development and review
• EHS Audit – Performance Based Auditing including compliance audit and audit program development
• EHS due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, IPOs, and property sales and leases
• EHS due diligence for project finance including Equator Principle reviews
• Safety Programs, safety transformation and coaching-based interventions
• Management Systems and Compliance Support – including performance-based assessment and compliance assurance
• Sustainability Reporting and provision of data assurance
• Client Training Programs – Accelerated learning, high impact, tailored EHS training
• Product Sustainability Services - including product certification and litigation support
ROLE PROFILE:
• Provide EHS regulatory services to industries (including regulatory register development, recommendations for achieving compliance, etc.)
• Undertake development and implementation of clients’ EHS programs (e.g. waste management, chemical management, management system implementation, etc.)
• Deliver tailored EHS training modules to various industries (both class-room and in the field practical training)
• Conduct EHS audits for clients (e.g. compliance audit, environmental due diligence, etc)
• Participate in sustainable financing transaction services projects
• Participate in Project site visits
• Write reports
• Manage projects as per ERM’s systems
• Assist in preparation of proposals
• Work with ERM Vietnam office and other offices as requested in undertaking audit, due diligence, legal review projects
• Supervise and guide for junior levels
• Manage and coordinate with subcontractors

• Bachelor degree in a discipline such as environmental science, environmental engineering
• Master’s Degree in a technical environmental discipline preferable
• Minimum of four years’ work experience either in a consultancy or in industry
• Must be fluent in English, reading, writing and conversation
• Trained on essential soft-skills such as communication, presentation, meeting, planning, etc.
• Experienced in project management
• Must have good knowledge of EHS management practices and regulatory requirements
• Good understanding of social issues (e.g. labour management and regulatory requirements and international standards (e.g. IFC performance standards, ADB Safeguard Policy Statement is desirable)
