The Financial Controller is responsible for managing and leading the financial department as well as financial results for Phu Quoc Tourism Development and Investment JSC. Through dynamic and engaging leadership this position is responsible for sound financial practices that are ethical, timely and proactive. Establish and maintain the financial standards that meet and exceed the expectations of diverse stakeholders; Management Company, Casino/Hotel Owners and local regulatory authorities, as well as local communities with integrity. Directs financial planning and accounting activities to include long-range planning, budget preparation; supervision for all accounting functions, including tax preparation; and due diligence of all financial functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with the law and with generally accepted accounting practices; oversees the financial administration of all divisions. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices and procedures, as well as within the framework and intent of company.
Responsibilities:
• As member of Phu Quoc Tourism Development and Investment JSC leadership team responsible for developing and executing Casino & Hotel business plan to maximize long-term.
• Identify profit opportunities through ongoing financial analysis (i.e. financial/ flow-through variance analysis).
• Strong knowledge of Casino/Hotel management agreement to ensure compliance of key terms and conditions.
• As member of the Sell Strategy team, responsible for the positioning of the resort and establishing its selling strategy.
• Oversee hiring, and training when necessary all Casino/Hotel accounting employees to ensure strong internal control environment and high job satisfaction levels, therefore minimizing staff turnover.
• Responsible for management of the Casino/Hotel’s pre-opening budget.
• Financial Reporting – responsible for completing and analyzing monthly financial statements to identify trends and margin improvement opportunities; complete monthly cash flow forecast based on expected business volumes.
• Balance sheet management – ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain throughout the resort environment of strong internal controls including brand standard compliance.
