Material Development Expert

• Support the Product Development Team with a wide range of tasks associated with product life cycle management including the development, implementation and sourcing of products within their categories of responsibility
• Responsible for supporting the Product Development Team throughout the entire Material Development Process
• Responsible for tracking and updating status of Material Prototype and Confirmation of test sample deliveries. Update development status reports to insure timely delivery of all product material development.
• Managing, coordinating and maintenance of Material samples for all product lines and keeping the final recipe with confidentiality.
• Milestone chart and ensure target dates are adhered to R&D Manager.
• Present Material sample plates submissions to Design/Product Development for approvals (color, physical specifications and appearance)
• Develop processes to create materials used in a variety of products.
• Develop materials such as plastics and metals depending on product specifications into composite.
• Ability to create new composites or develop new uses for materials, such as making
Systems out of ceramic, metal or other eco-friendly materials.
• Develop composite materials, or study the atomic structure of materials in order to discover new applications for their mechanical properties and conductivity.
• Familiar to use power tools, lab equipment and computer technology to process materials.
• Analyze materials and data, conducting tests, troubleshooting, monitoring performance, insuring quality control and creating documentation.
• Responsible for developing new methods of testing, training technicians and lab workers,
• Ability to improve and develop new techniques in material and finishing.
• Participate in the production flow/system setup of new products
• Ability to set up process of meterial development, and creation of bill of materials (BoM)
