ABB is a global leader in industrial technology. Established in Vietnam in 1993, ABB recently has around 900 employees working in three regions across the country to ensure nationwide presence of the company’s brand. The Head Office and Transformer Factories are located in Hanoi, High Voltage and the Medium Voltage Power Product factories are in Bac Ninh, other branch offices are situated in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
ABB’s Power Grid division delivers products, systems, services and software solutions. The products mainly include high voltage products, transformers, grid system and grid automation. The major customers are power value chain serving utility, industry, transportation and infrastructure.
ABB Vietnam is seeking Quality Manager who will be responsible to establish, develop, implement & maintain the quality management system. Based at Bac Ninh city and reporting to Factory General Manager, the key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
• Manage Quality Management System (QMS),
- Perform full range of activities associated with continuous improvement and quality management.
- Provide professional support for ISO related audits and addressing the issues related to same.
- Coordinate ISO related certification process for all operating units including HSE.
- Ensure the local QMS to coordinate with country regulations and guidelines.
- Train the front end staff in capturing the customer feedback, suggestions, etc.
• Handle supplier management,
- Identify, qualify and develop potential vendors in align with ABB Supply Base Management Framework
- Establish quality-at-source approach system to ensure high quality of all incoming materials.
• Manage Quality Assurance and Quality Control,
- Develop, implement and maintain systems to accomplish the requirements.
- Guide the quality engineers & inspector teams to ensure quality KPIs and parameters.
- Identify, collect analyse and evaluate the data to resolve customer complaints.
• People management and functional training,
- Assist employees in getting lean six sigma trainings and certifications.
- Ensure appropriate training on quality standards and tools.
- Train and certify employees to handle root cause analysis to prevent failures.
- Promote and exchange best practices to strive for quality improvement.
- Guide motivate and encourage workforce in accordance and coordination with HR.
- Manage the performance of direct reports and groom the high performers.
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed.

To be considered for this role you should have,
• University degree in Engineering (Prefer to Mechanical /Electrical Engineering; Manufacturing; Industrial Engineering; Quality Management…)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing and quality management with minimum 2 years of experience in people management.
• Specialised knowledge in ISO standards and knowledge of other standards (IEC/UL/TS).
• Excellent understanding of processes related to customer care (CCRP, NPS.) & experience in coaching staff.
• Lean six sigma certifications (Black belt preferred).
• Ability to manage complex operating structure including various stake holders.
• Strong and effective English communication skills.
