I. ROLE SYPNOPSIS
Develop demand plans for use in sales and operations planning and supply planning.
Interact with the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and brand/product organizations to facilitate the planning process and deliver company plan.
II. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Demand Planning Co-ordination and Projection
o Be responsible to conduct meeting/review within S&OP framework such as Channel Consensus, Demand Sign-off and Supply Handover in a regular basis (monthly/weekly)
o Be responsible to develop the aggregate demand plan with rigorous and input review on support assumptions by channel manager/sales and channel support on a monthly basis for the S&OP. It will include but not limited to validate the overall size of the business and identify movements, document, update, and challenge the factors and assumptions supporting the demand plan.
o Be responsible to Develop demand plans for new products and/or new markets based on agreement with Marketing and Sales (SOM). Analyse the trend and propose corrective action on time (if necessary)
o Be responsible to coordinate with Channel Manager and Marketing to identify, communicate and follow up V&O in Demand and actual forecast
o Be responsible for Company Forecast Accuracy Performance
o Be responsible to Develop Original Sales Forecast by SKU, by Sales Team, by Warehouses for Supply Chain Planning Team use to set up production plan by weeks, by months.
o Be responsible to prepare right information to support all the review within S&OP framework, including but not limited to pre-read pack, analysis on past performance and trend to support decision making in Business Review, Channel Consensus, etc
o Be responsible to measure and do monthly report on actual performance vs. planned performance overall by market segment, sales team, and product family, SKU, and product mix with all exception analysis (lost sales or goods shortage,..) and proposed corrective action /comments for next Management Business Review Meeting (MBR)
• Operational Demand Control Co-ordination
o Be the day-to-day point of contact for Supply Chain Planning Team to manage change and balance supply and demand to achieve the optimal balance of customer needs and production capability. Assist SOM in resolving issues related to order promising, deviations to planned finished goods inventory levels, establishment and utilization of safety stock, and customer delivery difficulties.
o Slow and Obsolete Stocks Management
• Others
o Be able to assist OM in the development of marketing/manufacturing strategies and objectives, including IFOT objectives, inventory targets, back orders/lead time objective, and decision points (time fences) for managing change.
o Serve as the technical expert in matters concerning the use the demand planning tool and information systems for demand management, forecasting, order entry, and Internet or electronic data interchange interfacing.
o Provide necessary training to internal personnel in all aspects of demand management, forecasting, order entry, etc. Develop and deliver communication/awareness sessions for external persons (customers and suppliers) on the concepts and practices of demand management and demand collaboration.
• Team management
o Set clear objectives for each staff and provide full coaching, training to develop staff skills. All Direct reports have up to date KPI’s driving performance and to ensure that “My Plan” is conducted for all staff on a regular basis.
o Ensure a performance based culture is built up through professional and fair management practices
o Ensure all staff are motivated and satisfied with the company and management
o Share key learning and improvement to better fulfil our customers and trade requirements
