• Support implementation of Three Lines of Defence model.
• Risk Steward/ 2nd LOD oversight - Implement and manage the SR 2nd LOD framework that effectively and efficiently oversees 1st line activities performed by SR, Global Businesses, Global Functions and HOST.
• Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC): Monitor compliance of ABC obligations by all SR staff and strategic partners in the region, including but not limited to requirements on Associated Persons and Vendors Due Diligence (as defined in Compliance FIM B2.6.3), and mandatory/additional training.
• Risk management: Consolidate and track MSIIs, Open audit & review findings, RCA control risks.
• To proactively identify operational issues, trends, and emerging risks and recommend appropriate measures to manage quality, working with relevant stakeholders.
• Vendor risk management: Track & have record of all critical SR vendors and ensure they are reviewed & tested as per VRM Guidelines. Represent all SR functions for any Procurement Governance forums/ VRM related workstream.
• The job acts as country representative in SR International assigned projects and coordinate or manage the projects to meet agreed deadlines
• The role is responsible for overseeing, controlling and acting on PEV processes along with the coordination of the Insider Risk area assuring all requests are completed according to the guidelines and interacting with the regional team to help with the set up.
• Effectively engage SR functional, regional and global business heads implementing the SR risk management framework across all regions and global businesses
• Stakeholders managed at a global and regional level within the SR and broader Risk function.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the global businesses, global functions, audit, operational risk, HTS and SR International
• Work with SR Functional and regional teams without direct reporting lines
• Support a highly motivated, delivery orientated team
• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
• To own and implement effective risk and control monitoring programmes based on areas of key risks owned by SR that will significantly improve risk management
• To continually reassess the risk and control environment and resources applied to this
• Support initiatives on risk and control matters (including MSIIs and Audit Findings)
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.·
• As appropriate for the role, ensures alignment with regulatory requirements, the Compliance FIM, HNAH’s Enterprise Compliance Policy and Program, the CRMP Manual, HNAH’s BSA/AML Policy, other Group policies and all related policies and procedures.
