The technical manager is responsible for all the technical activities of the water kiosks franchisees and the checking of engineering duties. His main role will be to settle the guidebook of technical policies, standards and procedures for all kiosks to be part of 1001fontaines’ franchise model.
In order to carry out these responsibilities, the technical manager will have to travel frequently across the different areas where the project is operating (Vinh Long Province). He will be based in HCMC and will report and work directly to the Managing Director.
In order to conduct the following tasks, the technical manager will be accompanied by senior technician directors provided by 1001fontaines.
Mission 1. Technical Management & water quality:
- Develop and implement the quality standards & policy for 1001fontaines’ franchise model
o Define the quality planning for 1 typical kiosk and for the pilot phase (timing, budget, parameters to be tested…)
o Define a clear organization of resources to conduct these tests regularly and select the most appropriate testing laboratory
o Define the franchising quality action plan to ensure 1°) selection of kiosks based on certain level of quality and 2°) on-going compliance of kiosks
- Develop and implement the technology standards & policy for 1001fontaines’ franchise
o Audit and validate the technical solution proposed by our current supplier
o Define a technical audit methodology to assess the efficiency and safety of technology (CAPEX) in place in potential kiosks targets
o Define a corrective action plan on the CAPEX to be able to join the franchise model
o Develop process improvements and enhancements to maximize quality standards
o Benchmark alternative R.O. machines suppliers to be included in the franchise offer
o Define a standardized technical solution to be implemented for all new kiosks
- Set the production standards & policy for 1001fontaines’ franchise model
o Coordinate the refit of water kiosk location if needed
o Define a technical audit methodology to assess the efficiency, safety and hygiene of process in place in potential kiosks targets
o Define the production guidelines we will impose to kiosks in the franchise system
o Define the maintenance guidelines we will impose to kiosks in the franchise system
o Develop, train and coach a technical team to ensure their capabilities for technical maintenance and assistance to the entrepreneurs
- Provide technical direction during execution of the project (from site selection to opening)
- Manage technical resources within budgeted cost lines and project schedules
- Allocate engineering resources to kiosks appropriately
- Coordinate with suppliers the purchase of treatment systems and spare-part for new kiosks
- Organize water sampling plan and partnership with laboratories and suppliers.
Mission 2. Management:
- Manage a team of 1 technician and out-sourced staff (building, technical, water quality)
- Organize regular practical training and evaluation to technical and quality team
- Actively participate to an Executive Committee governing the management of the organization
