● Relevant tertiary IT qualifications and certification or related discipline

Experience:
Essential
● Previous experience in a 24×7 high-availability production environment
● Previous expertise in architecting an AWS environment
● Previous experience in automating the management of an AWS environment
● Experience with software based firewalls, load balancers and proxy servers
● Detection systems and network and server security hardening
● Experience in monitoring, metrics collection, and reporting using open source tools.
● Experience with automation platforms. E.g Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc
● Prior experience in developing CloudFormation Scripts
● Hands on experience in AWS provisioning
● Experience in designing high availability applications on AWS across availability zones and availability regions
● Experience in designing applications on AWS taking advantage of disaster recovery design guidelines
● Experience in AWS Networking – Direct Connect/VPC, NACL’s, security groups

● Experience in a fast paced, retail or hospitality environment is desirable.
