MÔ TẢ CÔNG VIỆC

Scope of Work
The Admissions Associate will report to the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, and be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues on the admissions and financial aid team, as well as colleagues from other teams such as outreach, communications, and academics.
The Associate will serve as a core contributor across three primary student recruitment activities:
- Student Outreach: The Associate will work closely with the Outreach and Communications teams to spread the word about Fulbright and encourage prospective students to apply. Activities may include but are not limited to:
- Organizing recruitment events on our campus and at other strategic cities
- Supporting high school visits across the country
- Holding campus tours
- Cultivating personal relationships with prospective students; and
- Other relevant activities.
Admissions: The Associate will support the life-cycle of Fulbright’s undergraduate admissions program. This includes but is not limited to:
- Supporting applicants in filling out the admissions application
- Reviewing applications
- Organizing in-person assessments such as group exercises and individual interviews
- Participating in admissions committee deliberations and final decision-making
- Conducting post-mortem reviews of the admissions process to identify ways to improve; and
- Contributing to the preparation for the next admissions cycle.
Administration and development: The Associate is expected to participate in the administration and development work of the admissions and financial aid office. These duties may include but are not limited to:
- Building and managing the admissions and financial aid databases
- Responding to email and calls inquiries
- Contributing to the fulfillment of donor reporting requirements; and
- Other relevant activities.
Though the Admissions Associate with spend most of her/his time on admissions work, the Associate is also required to support the life-cycle of Fulbright’s need-based financial aid program. This includes but is not limited to: supporting applicants in filling out financial aid forms, analyzing financial aid forms and interviewing families to assess applicants’ financial circumstances and determine financial aid packages.
As the institution grows, the Admission Associate is also expected to support the team and the mission of Fulbright, not only through their own work contributions, but through supporting other teams as needed

• A good understanding of the socioeconomic context within Vietnam
• Ability to learn about students holistically and assess them fairly, using a variety of traditional and innovative assessment methods
• Ability to have difficult conversations and make decisions with an eye toward what is fair and defensible
• Willingness to travel extensively to meet with prospective students and families
• Strong alignment with Fulbright’s educational mission and a passion for education
• Willingness to work collaboratively and flexibly on projects beyond their work scope
• Excellent Vietnamese and English communication skills (both verbal and written), especially the ability to communicate effectively with students and families
