Key Areas of Responsibility: Coordinates factories to commercialize new models from Pre Tech (before sales samples), T2(extreme size), T3 and T4 on time to be buy ready for smooth mass production. Communicate closely with US development/design team for extreme size fitting sample feedback and improvement and follow up. Assist in development and implementation of new technologies for Vans shoes. Follow up and ensure good quality commercialization samples completion to meet the required dates for all commercialization stage. Conduct lab test during commercialization activity to make sure bonding, aging, washing and Hydrolysis meets standard. Dig out and rectify any potential issues start from development to commercialization activity, early involvement for products. Set up SOP and review together factories and QA to make sure good quality of products will be made for mass production, factory strictly follow SOP to make products. SOP and Tech reports are handed over to all parties including factory, QA etc. Seasonal tech tracker weekly updates, all reports including tech reports, new patterns and SOP are saved in Share drive for easy/smooth transferring and dual source per request from planning for duty advantage and capacity flexibility. Work with factories to improve production efficiency and implement Automation/Computer stitch operation where workable, seeking for continuous improvement and implementation for mass production with good quality. Pattern/Grading: accountable for technical aspect of product sample size to full size grading. Has deep understanding and technical knowledge/know-how of Vans vulcanize/cold cement shoes upper construction plus material physical property. Good thinking and solution for Automation/Computer stitching for upper pattern construction. Knows clearly where to lock upper parts spring and grading to convenience Automation/Computer stitching operation. General knowledge/skills of last in measurement. General on molds/bottom checking to find potential issues thru production trial for new development.
