• Overall responsibility for the operations of the Information Technology Department, including ensuring all processes are properly in place and managed, overall management of the IT team to ensure the good IT practices across the organization.
• Ensure that the local network typology is properly designed, and extendible to take into account future growth needs of the organization, as well as ensuring other network services are properly planned and implementing, including: email, printing, data
- sharing and collaboration.
• Establish proper IT processes, including but not limited to service provision agreements, disaster recovery processes, security protocols, user guides, help desk enquiry management.
• Ensure that IT processes are properly implemented in each office by establishing quality processes for auditing and by carrying out regular audits on the IT department to ensure compliance, prevent data
- leakage, ensure high levels of security are maintained for sensitive information, server directories are properly established with secure access organization, ensure proper preventative measures are taken against viruses/ spyware and other threats.
• Establish performance indicators for the IT department to ensure that service provision to users meets organizational requirements.
• Establish, maintain and update a full IT asset register including all hardware, software and all allocations to employees (recording serial numbers, licensing numbers, etc), recording returns, repairs and decommissions, including future planning and budgeting for IT investments, hardware and software purchases.
• Ensure that all software licensing is properly compliant, that internal development (intranet/website) meets organizational requirements and is delivered in a timely manner.
• Establish and implement continuous improvement programs to ensure the ongoing improvement of efficiency and service delivery of the IT Department.
• Develop and implement training to users on relevant IT functions, introduced new software/technology/developments.

• Degree Qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar role within a multinational organization, being able to demonstrate high level information technology outcomes for the organization and for users, and a commitment to continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong demonstrable knowledge of networking and internetworking technologies and networking operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu).
• Working knowledge of Firewall/Gateway, Email, collaboration, database and Anti
- Virus/Spam/Spyware Solutions & Applications.
• Knowledge of Design Software in Architecture and Engineering.
• Demonstrable experience in writing and implementing IT processes, procedures and protocols, including auditing for compliance and training users on proper processes.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage IT team members to ensure internal service standards are improved.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional learning and maintaining knowledge of information technology developments.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct system matters that may lead to threats or exposed sensitive data.
• Previous experience in managing IT teams.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a pre
- requisite for this position.
