GENERAL
Report to: Regional Manager of Information System
Work location: TMG Hospitality Office, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City
Working hours: 8.00 AM-17.00 PM, 05 days a week from Monday to Friday
JOB PURPOSE
The IT Technician has responsibility for the administrative and operational activities of the IT activities in TMGH’s office and other companies which TMGH provide IT services for.
He/she also assists the Regional Manager of Information Systems in group level activities.
TASKS
1) Provide IT services and supports:
- Install and configure servers, computers, networks, printers, system software and office applications.
- Deliver support (IT helpdesk and on-site) to end users for the computer systems, networks, printers, telephone, other ICT devices (such as scanner, fax, photocopy machine, etc), email, system’s software and office applications.
- Support other departments in purchasing computers, networks appliances, peripheral equipment and office software.
2) Build and manage IT department‘s budget yearly.
3) IT system administrative and maintenance:
- Regularly check server and do patch update for OS, system software and office applications.
- Regularly check the internal network WAN/LAN and other network equipment.
- Ensure antivirus and firewall application are updated.
- Schedule and perform the preventive maintenance for all servers and users’ computers, networks, printers, telephone system and telephone monitoring software.
- Daily monitor systems to ensure all systems are up and online.
4) Information security assurance:
- All serves and end user’s workstation must be protected by antivirus and firewall application.
- Installing the approved software only.
5) Disaster and recovery
- Perform daily backup for server and end user workstations, ensure all systems and data are backup successfully to appropriate media
- Recover applications and data in case of hardware or software failure as well as attacked by viruses
- Schedule to test the backup and recovery system.
6) Provide on-demand training for end-user to be self-confident.
7) Documentation and procedure development:
- All servers, computers, printers, telephone system, other ICT devices and networks system must be documented properly
- Follow the procedures and update once necessary for matching operation requirement.
