FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVEs (FBOs):
The Sponsorships Executive is integral to the success of CMG. Working between internal teams and partners, he/she is responsible for co-planning, development and management of sponsorship strategy as well as partner relationships with the aim of reaching the target revenue, traffic or return from initiatives supported.
Abiding to a high-performance culture and focusing on great execution towards revenue generation, he/she contributes to the company’s top and bottom line by:
- Finding or creating new sponsorship opportunities to increase our visibility, traffic or opportunity to monetize;
- Creating sponsorship roadmaps, laying down clear action plans and managing day-to-day execution of those plans by coordinating between internal and partner teams;
- Working with internal teams to ensure agreements signed are implemented and building a strong relationship with partners to drive retention and new sponsorship opportunities;
- Working with Membership Sales, PT and Group Exercise teams to execute activations and fine tune the
mechanisms through which to unlock leads or revenue to our business deriving from our Sponsorships;
- Working with Business Development teams to find opportunities to raise money for initiatives pursued in order to reduce our risk and/or making our initiatives economically viable.
REPORTS TO: Partnerships Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CRITICAL DRIVERS:
A. 20% - Create Sponsorship Plans & Recruit New Partners
1. Create a sponsorship framework and roadmap for each partner we’re currently working with as well as a
detailed action plan. Report on the progress of the same weekly.
2. Identify potential new sponsorship opportunities, identify businesses who we could pursue those with and make contact through phone, meetings and/or relevant trade exhibitions or events.
3. Negotiate, finalize and sign sponsorship agreements by leveraging Top Management support where needed.
4. Deal with inbound Sponsorship requests by doing a cost-benefit assessment and providing the request with a reply within 48h.
5. Represent our company at any sponsorship conferences, meetings, events or other groups as appropriate.
6. Keep accurate frameworks, documentation and updates for all sponsorship negotiations, contracts and
roadmaps / activities.
B. 30% - Establish Relationship with Existing Partners & Ensure Agreement Implementation
1. Be the main point of contact for sponsors and between sponsors and all relevant internal departments,
ensuring all obligations to the sponsor are complied with.
2. Work with internal teams to roll out new sponsorships and sponsorship plans, provide agreement updates to relevant staff and ensure each key team member is informed, understands and executes their responsibilities.
3. Meet with sponsors/partners or their agents and build positive and productive relationships with them. Keep them updated on the progress of the roadmap and define next critical actions.
4. Ensure payments are received in a timely manner and chase outstanding payments, liaising with finance
department and Top Management as required.
5. Monitor department budgets and financial activity, providing reports as appropriate to the running of the
business and carrying out cost-benefit analysis on departmental work.
6. Maintaining and building a pipeline of priorities and providing weekly updates.
C. 40% - Execute Activations & Realize Revenue Potential
1. Work with Top Management to setup the right set of KPIs to track success of each sponsorship activity.
2. Monitor, report and drive KPIs (such as leads, appointments, signups, ticket sales) relevant to the commercial success of the sponsorship agreements established.
3. Devise sales and activation plans for each sponsor/partner agreement in conjunction with Marketing, Sales and PT teams.
4. Work with Business Development teams to raise co-sponsors and/or sell advertising space within the Sponsorship plans being executed, thus increasing revenue potential for the initiatives.
D. 10% - Self-Improvement and Team Contribution
1) Contribute to team culture by sharing ideas to improve internal processes, service, campaigns and opportunities to grow the business.
2) Seek constant self-improvement on relevant topics that can help deepen functional knowledge.
3) Work with integrity and deliver the maximum quality work to help move the company forward.

- Guest traffic from Sponsorships: 100% monthly target
- Revenue from Sponsorships: 100% on target
- Budget: 100% on target

- University Degree strongly preferred, ideally in a relevant degree such as marketing, advertising, communications, business, entrepreneurship or similar.
- Strong commercial sense, with proven ability to achieve outcomes that marry brand identity with results.
- Hands on experience of dealing with multiple partners.
- Strong knowledge of strategic marketing, good analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a thorough understanding of systems and process that support a marketing function.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Results driven character. Process focused with a tireless focus on output quality.
