• Act as the primary owner of material vendor group relationships and engagement. • Act as the primary facilitator of a cadenced engagement model with assigned vendors, to create strategic alignment between Nike internal stakeholders and vendors. • Serve as a Material Type subject material expert, leveraging knowledge of relevant material type and industry to develop industry insights and identify manufacturing and business optimization opportunities. • Act as the primary manager of material vendor performance evaluations, leveraging capability assessment/auditing tools. • Coordinate and align strategies and engagement Tier to Tier, internally and externally. • Conduct ongoing assessments of vendors consistent with evolving strategies, to identify focus and optimize engagement opportunities. • Drive risk mitigation and issue management/resolution (material issues, sustainability issues, delivery issues, etc.) with vendors, engaging stakeholder community as necessary. • Build vendor capabilities (best practice deployment, vendor education/training, etc.). • Facilitate collaborative engagement across varied stakeholder groups, both internally and externally. • Elevate vendor prioritization of sustainability priorities and initiatives.Support new vendor onboarding.

• Education: Typically requires a Bachelor Degree and minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience. Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 1 year; Masters + 0-3 years; Associates degree + 1-3 years; High School + 3-5 years • Technical: Knowledge in materials (specific Leather knowledge/experience is a plus), manufacturing, and footwear creation. Demonstrated knowledge of product creation process and material manufacturing industry. Understanding and/or prior experience with Lean and industrial engineering concepts is a plus. • Relationship Development and Management: Ability to navigate matrixed business settings, build relationships, and influence decision-making. Experience building collaborative relationships and facilitating positive, purposeful engagement across stakeholders with varied and sometimes competing interests. • Communication: Excellent communication and influencing skills. Comfortable and skilled at presenting/training in large group settings. • Data-Driven Decisions: Experience analyzing data and developing insights that enable data-driven decisions. • Initiative and Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently to identify work required to achieve objectives, develop workplans, and drive execution against plans. • Global Mindset: Desire and ability to work with, understand, and collaborate across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
