Coastal Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degrees in Coastal Engineering
• Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking), both English and Vietnamese
• Excellent understanding of coastal processes (wind, waves, currents, sediment transport)
• At least 5 years of experience in design of coastal structures (e.g. breakwaters, revetments, etc.)
• Experience in coastal engineering design according to International design standards (CEM, Rock Manual, BS, etc.)
• Experience in performing under time pressure while maintaining the required technical quality by following the company QMS
• Capable of carrying out detailed checking of calculations, designs and drawings prepared by other team members
• Willing to travel, sometimes for a few days at a time, as may be required to meet project requirements
Preference for candidates that meet the following additional requirements:
• Master of Science degree in Coastal Engineering
• Site supervision experience (coastal structures)
• At least 10 years of experience in design of coastal structures (e.g. breakwaters, revetments, etc.)
• (Co-) Author of a paper(s) published in a national / international journal (coastal engineering projects)
• Experience working on international projects
• Experience preparing costs estimates and construction schedules for coastal engineering projects
• Experience in designing maritime (port) structures (e.g. quay walls)
• Experience presenting to Clients / large audiences
