The Country Manager will lead the full spectrum of business operations in Vietnam, including strategy development, sales expansion, distributor management, marketing execution, and organizational growth. This role requires a highly entrepreneurial leader with strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the Vietnamese home appliance market. The Country Manager will drive revenue growth, strengthen brand presence, and ensure operational excellence across all functions.
Key Responsibilities
A. Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the Vietnam market strategy aligned with regional and global business objectives.
Own the country P&L, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and cost control.
Lead annual planning cycles: budgeting, sales forecasting, investment planning, and resource allocation.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and consumer insights to guide strategic decisions.
B. Sales & Distribution Management
Set, manage, and achieve sales targets across all channels: distributors, modern trade, key retailers, e-commerce, and project channels.
Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with distributors, builders, retailers, and strategic customers.
Evaluate channel performance regularly; implement corrective action plans to meet KPIs.
Work closely with supply chain teams to improve demand planning, inventory availability, and on-time delivery.
After-Sales Management: Build and manage relationships with 3rd-party service providers; ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the customer service department to resolve escalations efficiently.
C. Marketing & Brand Growth
Oversee marketing, trade marketing, and digital marketing activities.
Approve annual marketing calendars, campaign budgets, product launch plans, and promotional activities.
Ensure consistent brand positioning aligned with global guidelines while tailoring communication for local consumers.
Represent the brand in trade fairs, exhibitions, industry events, and media engagements.
D. HR & Organizational Development
Oversee recruitment for key leadership roles and approve overall headcount planning.
Work with the CEO/HR to build organizational structure, compensation frameworks, and performance management systems.
Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of sales, marketing, and business development teams.
Conduct performance reviews, coach team members, and drive a performance-driven culture.
Ensure compliance with company ethics, labor laws, and health & safety standards.
Handle day-to-day HR administration where required.
E. Finance & Operations
Oversee country budgeting, financial performance, and cost optimization.
Coordinate with Finance/General Director on accounting, audits, tax matters, compliance, and reporting.
Ensure operational excellence across logistics, warehouse management, supply chain coordination, and after-sales service.
F. External & Government Relations
Act as the company’s representative with government bodies, industry associations, and business partners.
Ensure full compliance with local regulations, import/export requirements, labor codes, and environmental standards.
Protect and enhance the company’s brand reputation and legal standing in Vietnam.
