- Analyzing sketches and samples, understanding customers requirement and guiding the team to develop samples accordingly, ensuring viability for bulk production.

- Deciding on all technical specifications for the garment including the construction and operation sequence , and the machine , attachment and work methods , so as to meet the customer’s expectation by taking all practical consideration into account

- Coordinating and communicating with the customer on product related issues pertaining to fit construction , technical specifications and raw material ect ,and subsequently clarifying the requirements and recommending alternate value added options to the customer to arrive at a mutually beneficial solution 

- Working closely with the plant managers and the production manager on order inquiries , assessing the do-ability of the product ,advising on resource requirements (such as machines , attachments , and skills) and providing feedback to the merchandisers on order acceptance

- Providing technical advice (sewing techniques , critical quality points ect) to relevant staff and resolving critical day to day operational and technical issues in coordination with the production teams to facilitate the smooth transition of the production process.

- Keeping abreast of the developments in the garment manufacturing arena and related technological areas , assessing feasibility for use the factory and advising the management on these developments
