The Lacquer Company was founded in 2008 by James Lowther, specialising in handmade lacquer furniture & accessories. The head office is in London and all products are handmade in Ho Chi Minh City.

• Receiving orders from the US/UK and proceeding with production with Ho Chi Minh City suppliers
• Following production timeline as scheduled
• Frequent visits to the factories to follow up with suppliers and keep track of production status and problem solving
• Daily reporting and constant communication with Production Manager
• Assist Production Manager and staff to manage QA and QC before shipping
• Ensure the suppliers meet the company’s high quality standards
• Other duties as assigned

TECHNICAL
• Technical consultant to Production Manager & factories
• Creating/revising AutoCAD drawings as required
• Checking carcasses/metal, making sure they match the drawings and ensuring good quality.
• Provide dimensions of lacquer pieces to metal factories, making sure items will fit together when assembling
• Preparing all necessary items for assembling
• Able to do basic/simple assembling job
• Other duties as assigned

Assist London Office:
- Receive orders from the UK office and send to Production Manager
- Preparing Purchase Orders to send to Vietnam suppliers
- Sourcing suppliers/materials, getting quotes and producing new samples
- As needed, finding the best solutions and best materials, reporting to the Production Manager
- Receiving quote requests from the UK office, obtaining quotes quickly/efficiently and keeping a quotes spreadsheet
- Monitor inventory levels in London and New York
- Manage samples library in Vietnam and monitor color swatch quantities for London and New York
Communication:
- Main contact between Saigon and London (need excellent English)
- Making weekly meeting reports
- Replying all emails within 24 hours
- Communicate with UK office:
As we have our main office in the UK, we need to consider the different time zones. There is a requirement for phone/Skype meetings, discussions, updates and some emergencies can arise. Please be able to communicate sometimes during UK business hours (these times are flexible)
- Other duties as assigned
Others:
- Manage stationary in the office
- Manage packing materials
- Arrange and Assist with photoshoots in Saigon
- Upload all new products on website
- Updating pricelist
- Other duties as assigned

PRODUCTION:
• Receiving orders from the US/UK and proceeding with production at Ho Chi Minh City suppliers
• Develop timeline for production
• Constant follow up with suppliers to keep track of production status and problem solving
• Managing quality control before shipping
• Technical consultant to clients & factories
• Other duties as assigned
DEVELOPMENT:
• Develop new products with suppliers
• Negotiate best prices for all products
• Coordinating between suppliers for correct and smooth product development
• Work closely with suppliers and their staffs
RELATIONSHIP WITH SUPPLIER:
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers for sustainable and competitive sources, and remaining aware of new supplier options
• Make sure the suppliers meet the Company’s high quality standards
• Discuss production problems with suppliers and secure credit notes
REPORTING:
• As we have our main office in the UK, we need to consider the different time zones. There is a requirement for phone/Skype meetings, discussions, updates and some emergencies can arise. Please be able to communicate during UK business hours (these times are flexible).
SALARY:
• 1300$ gross/month

Assist Production Manager :
- Collect all orders from UK office and send it to production.
- Preparing purchase order to send to each suppliers
- Sourcing suppliers/materials, getting quotes for new samples. Base on request of client, finding good solution and good materials and direct report to Operation/Production Manager.
- Receiving inquiries from UK office and put in quote spreadsheet , remind Production Manager to send quote in time.
- Update quotes in to quote spreadsheet
- Organize color swatches in the office
- QC and supervising QC staffs doing their job, supervising packing process
Assist Operation Manager:
- Manage stationary in the office
- Manage packing materials
