- Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, the Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for assisting senior management in the overall day to day operations of the hotel.
- During the duty the Assistant Front Office Manager is expected to lead by example in terms of appearance, attitude, equity & professionalism. His/her main role is to ensure the proper work of operations in the following sections: Front Desk, Lobby.
- The Assistant Front Office Manager will extend his/her responsibility to the entire Front Office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
- The Assistant Front Office Manager will be the first to be called if a guest is looking for a member of the management team. In dealing with this situations, the Assistant Front Office Manager must ensure that they use tact and diplomacy to rectify quickly the situation, reaching the guest satisfaction but as well respecting the procedures and organization of the hotel.
- The Assistant Front Office Manager will be permanent contact with the Front Office Manager to report any guest comment, or problem and to ensure a good co-ordination and quick communication on both sides.
- The first assignment and main area of work of the Assistant Front Office Manager is the lobby, when the Assistant Front Office Manager is not a way to do a specific mission, he/SHE will spend his/her time in the lobby to co-ordinate the overall lobby activity and will be dynamic in guest relationships.
- To maintain per shift an accurate report in the Assistant Front Office Manager’s logbook of items and incidents which may be of concern to the management and/or which may requires further attentions.
- To help staffs improve their skills and provides support for career development.
