Overview
This position is responsible responds to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by mail, telephone, telex, cable, fax, or through a central reservation system.
Responsibilities:
- Handle reservations via phone, email, online systems, or through travel agents and internal departments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room types, layouts, rates, availability, and promotional packages.
- Create, update, and organize reservation records, including confirmations, cancellations, and modifications.
- Ensure accurate coding of reservations according to hotel policies, including deposits and no- show rules.
- Communicate reservation details clearly with the front desk and other relevant departments.
- Support room revenue forecasting by tracking availability and trends in demand.
- Assist with preregistration and prepare daily arrival reports for operational planning.
- Respond to guest inquiries promptly and courteously, maintaining a professional and tidy work area.
- Coordinate guest travel arrangements and promote hotel services to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Perform additional tasks such as rate configuration, GDS/IDS updates, and reception support as needed.
